Deaths

Here, remembering only a scarce few of the individuals whose deaths were caused by or related to COVID-19.

One comment that I read in early April wondered how many would have to die before more people would take the COVID-19 threat seriously because everybody in the world would have lost someone they knew – a family member, a close friend, a business associate, even a neighbor or Facebook friend. How long will it be before this page of this project lights a candle for someone I know personally? How long before it reaches someone you know?

If I could, I would write an obit for each and every person who fell victim to COVID-19, from the lowliest forgotten person pushed aside in a refugee camp to the rich and famous. To the extent I have information to point to any individual here, let that light a candle in my heart for each other person they represent, together with the families and friends and colleagues who lost loved ones to this pandemic.
